Narrative
MILFORD, MA – A two-vehicle collision along the interstate in southeast Worcester County killed one person and injured two others last Friday.
The incident occurred around 11:40 a.m. on the southbound side of I-495 in the city of Milford, which is about 30 miles southeast of Worcester.
Police say that two southbound vehicles, a 2022 Lexus SUV and a 2015 Nissan Juke, collided along on the interstate. The Lexus overturned after hitting a tree on the side of the roadway.
Medics transported both drivers to the hospital. The driver of the Lexus sustained serious injuries, while the other driver’s injuries were non-critical.
A 91-year-old passenger from the Lexus died at the scene. Authorities have not yet released his name to the public.
