FITCHBURG, MA – Authorities are investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian. The victim, identified as Mario Bratkon, 76 years old and a resident of Fitchburg, was struck by a vehicle while walking on Nichols Street.
Emergency services transported the victim to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, where he died later on. The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash remained at the scene.
