FAIRHAVEN, MA – Police are looking for the driver of a pickup truck that struck and fatally injured a 29-year-old on his moped in Fairhaven on Saturday.
The accident happened around 7:11 p.m. alongside the Riverside Cemetery on Main Street. This is south of I-195 and east of the Acushnet River.
There’s no word yet regarding the cause of the accident or the manner of the crash impact.
Medics transported the victim, identified as Alexis Alvarez, to the hospital where he later died.
The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene.
