Narrative
DARTMOUTH, MA – A 62-year-old man sustained fatal injuries earlier this month in a multi-vehicle crash along the interstate in Dartmouth.
The accident happened shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12th, along the westbound side of I-195 near Faunce Corner Road. This is just south of UMass Law.
Police haven’t specified the cause of the collision. They say it involved an 18-wheeler and two other vehicles.
One of the drivers, identified as Anthony Moniz of New Bedford, succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the wreck.
Officials closed the interstate in the area of the crash for around three hours while emergency crews gathered evidence and worked to clear the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
