Narrative
HOPKINTON, MA – Police have reported injuries in a two-vehicle crash involving a box truck that happened Thursday along the interstate in Hopkinton.
The crash occurred around 2 p.m. on the northbound side of I-495 near exit 58, which is just northwest of Hopkinton Country Club.
Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of a box truck lost control and struck an SUV after hitting a guardrail. The impact caused the SUV to overturn.
Medics transported the driver of the SUV to the hospital with serious injuries.
Officials closed several lanes of the I-495 in the area of the crash, causing significant delays.
