Narrative
FREETOWN, MA – WCVB News reports that two people were killed in an accident that took place on Route 140 NB in Freetown on Tuesday morning.
Authorities say the crash took place shortly after 8:00 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Route 140 near mile marker 10.6. Multiple 911 callers reported a northbound black Kia Sedona driving erratically before crashing into three other vehicles, including a Kia van and a Hyundai Venue, leaving the roadway, and striking a tree.
Two people, a 54-year-old male driver and a 70-year-old female passenger, were found seriously injured inside the Kia, and were later pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say speed is a factor in the accident.
