FITCHBURG, MA (WORCESTER COUNTY) – A 26-year-old woman died in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Route 2 in Fitchburg last week, according to information from MassLive.
The collision happened on Route 2 near the 97.7-mile marker just before 6 a.m. Friday, when the driver of a 2002 Ford Explorer crashed, causing the SUV to overturn.
The driver, a 26-year-old woman from Gardner, died at the scene, despite bystanders’ attempts to save her life.
No other vehicles or victims were involved in the collision.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
