PEABODY, MA – Boston 25 News reports that a pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a car on Route 1 in Peabody on Thursday.
According to authorities, the crash occurred around 3:00 pm near the southbound ramp of I-95 leading on to Route 1. Part of Route 1 was closed following the accident.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital via helicopter for treatment. No further information about the victim has been released at this time.
